Co-generation is the simultaneous production of electricity and heat from one fuel source. Heat is recovered from the internal combustion engine’s rejected heat and is utilized for steam generation, hot water supplement, cooling, drying, desalination etc.
The fuel source is gas (natural gas or LPG) or alternative fuels (landfill gas, biogas, digester gas), reducing the level of the exhaust emissions along with the operational costs.
HELIOSTAT is the first company in Greece, which turned in key a Co-Generation Project in 1987.
