PRESENTATION & DEMONSTRATION OF CO-GENERATION PLANT (500KW) – HEAT (890KW) – COOLING (180RT)
That is going to take place in the sessional centre “Nikolaos Louros” of Mitera Hospital on Thursday 26th of June 2008, at 12:00 with the chance of the completion of the 1st Co-generation plant in Hospital in Greece.
As Mitera Hospital uses proper environmental practices and with the principle of decreasing its dependence on peak load, it effectuated, with the assistance of HELIOSTAT LTD, the 1st co-generation plant project in Hospital in Greece.
In the project, which was designed and effectuated from HELIOSTAT LTD in order to cover a part of the Hospital’s needs in electricity, there were used thermal and cooling loads (500Kw), Natural Gas Genset of the American firm WAUKESHA, with Control Systems ofHEINZMANN, Hot Water Absorption Chiller of the Korean firm LS CABLE and Cooling Tower KIMCO. The design of the new unit allows its function not only in broiling weather, but for the peak load production too and gives to the investor flexibility to cope with the oncoming increases in the electricity prices.
HELIOSTAT LTD (www.heliostat.gr) was founded in 1981 and since then it is pioneer in projects concerning the energy sector. It is the exclusive representative of WAUKESHA (natural gas engines), LS CABLE (absorption chillers), KIMCO (cooling towers) and HEINZMANN (engine control systems) in Greece.
